In depth

Verdict

TARA MIST, placed in three Listed bumpers after a winning debut on this course, has a superb pedigree for jumping and her debut over timber has been eagerly awaited. This isn't an easy start but she has the potential to be useful and can make a successful reappearance. The four-year-old What A Jewel was just touched off in her second bumper start at Worcester and is another bred for this game though she may need more experience. Triumph Davis joined Nigel Twiston-Davies after landing a Limerick bumper and hasn't run badly over hurdles though may be suited by more testing conditions. Ballyhollow was 3l behind the selection here in December but hasn't done as well as expected over hurdles and was beaten 12l when long odds-on at Towcester last month. Winning point-to-pointers Silver Scotch and Western Goose should be noted for the future.
