Another contest that will take little winning and She's Our Native, a bumper winner here in the spring, can prove too strong for the first-time blinkered My Ace. Philip Hobbs' mare was too fresh for her own good when disappointing at Chepstow recently and her jumping suffered as a consequence in the latter stages as a result. Hopefully she will have settled down with that outing under her belt and is taken to show her true colours here. My Ace has been disappointing over timber having shown promise in bumpers. Her connections have decided to try the mare in some headgear in an effort to sharpen her up. Lovers Tale may find one or two of these too sharp for her around here, while Just Lambrini, who is out of a maiden mare, didn't shape with much promise on her bumper debut and is best watched for the time being. Beau Torero has yet to convince over hurdles, so this looks best left to She's Our Native, who has already proven she acts around this sharp track.
