Hasty Prince is out to make up for his recent lapse and gets the vote over Scotch Corner, with Robber Baron perhaps best watched on his return to the fray. Hasty Prince was a fairly useful hurdler, and can be expected to make a go of it over fences in time. He was sent off as a warm order over the bigger obstacles at Uttoxeter last time, but was far from fluent, and it was no surprise when he got rid of his pilot three out. He definitely has the class though, and as he is sure to have been intensively schooled since, is taken to make amends. Scotch Corner has been in good form over hurdles and now tackles fences for the first time. The way he kept on after being headed at Newcastle over today's trip suggests that he will be seen to better effect over three miles. Robber Baron was highly rated over hurdles a couple of seasons ago, but it is highly likely that he will need the outing. Nevertheless, if anywhere near fit, he can give a good account, without being good enough to stop Hasty Prince from obliging.
