Verdict

Icing On The Cake kept on well to make a winning start over fences over a shorter trip at Newbury. Uhlan Bute was still going well in front when unseating his rider on his reappearance at Kempton. Pougne Bobbi is a likely improver but Mad Jack Mytton needs some help from the handicapper. Pull The Chord only weakened at the last at Exeter while Truckers Highway won over 2m here last month. ALTIEPIX (NAP) looked like making a winning start for Kerry Lee at Chepstow but just blew up in the closing stages. A 20-length winner over this trip at Clonmel a year ago, the Irish import will strip fitter today and may be the pick of the weights. Keel Haul is back on a winning mark but much better over shorter.
