Handmaid has yet to win a handicap but went close at Uttoxeter and Market Rasen in the summer and should be thereabouts if forgiven a less-impressive effort last time at Cartmel. Lily Waugh races over hurdles for the first time in almost a year but has the past form to figure. Woodland Walk wouldn't be without a chance if fully wound-up but was a long way behind Jean Fleming at Fontwell in March and is only 4lb better off. A SHADE OF BAY won at Doncaster last season and wasn't beaten far over this course and distance in February - she is a pound lower if including her rider's claim. She has her first start since May but her yard is beginning to show signs of life and she is likely to be ready for this.
