Verdict

Willie Mullins has three of the four reserves and Rock Road would be an obvious threat if getting a run. The first three home in the Galway Plate, HEWICK, Darasso and El Barra, plus several others who ran in the Festival handicap, renew rivalry. The winner, who had won Sandown's bet365 handicap over 3m5f in April, will have found the Galway trip on the short side and was impeded by a loose horse so is taken to defy an 8lb rise. Hurricane Georgie, who had won his previous three races, fell at the first in the Plate but Busselton, who won the beginners' chase on this card last year and is one of six from Joseph O'Brien's yard, would have a chance off his low weight if able to repeat his victory over Darrens Hope at Killarney in May though he finished behind Gabbys Cross in the Galway Blazers and the winner is more progressive than most of these.
