Verdict

A lucrative prize and a strong line-up in which Gordon Elliott saddles three. Tombstone may prove best of the trio as though he hasn't been in the best of form he's dropped to a lowly mark accordingly and is 10lb lower than over fences. BALLYOISIN won this last year and though 11lb higher he's been in excellent form over fences, returning after a long break to land a strong Killarney handicap last month. He's 26lb lower back over timber and with Darragh O'Keeffe's claim to aid his cause can complete a double in the race. Tony Martin is double-handed and three-times Flat winner Mr Everest looks as though he can go higher in the ratings after a comfortable maiden victory at Galway. Davids Charm had been in very good form in top handicaps on the Flat and over hurdles before landing a premier handicap at Killarney and could provide the main threat.
