Verdict

Farthing, Cooleycall Star and Captain Cloudy are three against the field in this competitive affair and the vote is given to Cooleycall Star. The selection is a long-standing maiden but he has been threatening to win a race for some time and his supporters may get their reward here. Farthing is an obvious danger and she has put up a series of creditable displays over this course and distance which would give her fairly solid each-way claims. Captain Cloudy ran well over 10f last time but he will certainly be suited by the return to this trip and if he can run up to his best then he would certainly be capable of making the frame. Pappy is from a shrewd yard and although he has been disappointing of late, the return to this trip will suit and if the market speaks in his favour then he could be of interest. Catch The Fox is another who would have claims on the pick of his form but he will need to regain some of his old enthusiasm to score here and we will stick with Cooleycall Star as our idea of the winner.
