      Verdict

Didn't We belied market odds of 66/1 when second to Best Guess at Newmarket on his debut and is likely to be much shorter today but that was a weak race for the track so the Terry Mills-trained colt may not represent much value in a contest that is taken to go to Balik Pearls ahead of Prince Tamino. The last mentioned stepped up on his debut effort when third at Warwick last time and has to be respected on that evidence, while Discotheque is closely matched with Didn't We on Newmarket form but disappointed at Folkestone subsequently. Clive Brittain's Loua is becoming rather exposed, while Picador, who looks the pick of Sir Mark Prescott's two newcomers, is likely to need the run. The vote then goes to Neville Callaghan's Balik Pearls who has run up to a decent level of form in both starts so far and will take some beating if reproducing previous form on his first start on this surface.
