Verdict

A tight finale, with most of these having racked up a number of wins, but we'll side with a maiden, and that's RATHLIN LIGHT, who we prefer to Ask Jenny and Cosmic Destiny. Walter Swinburn's filly is bottom weight, and given a tongue strap for the first time to eke out some improvement to end a couple of runners up spots this season. She's the least exposed here, with this her handicap debut on her fourth outing. She certainly looks to have this sort of race within her, if continuing on her upwards curve. Ask Jenny's not won for more than a year, and on occasions has met trouble in running. She'd need absolutely everything to drop right to be successful. Cosmic Destiny is having her 70th run, and is off her lowest mark for almost two years. She can always be relied on to run her race though. Wibbadune won this race last year, as the middle leg of a hat-trick, but hasn't shown much since, and has the most to carry. Adam Kirby was on board that day; we think he'll win it again, but this time doing the steering on Rathlin Light.
