    Verdict

A competitive maiden gets proceedings underway and the market may well prove a good guide but the principals look to be Masa, Rock Chick and Gone Fishing and we will take a chance on the Godolphin Newcomer Masa. The selection is a well related to a top miler in Italy. She is sure to know her job and in what looks a mediocre race she is taken to score. Rock Chick rates the main danger she is a Halling half sister to the useful Applaud but her stables two-year-olds usually come on for the run so for that reason she is opposed. Gone Fishing is another that should go well she is from a yard that is doing well with its two-year-olds this season and she is a full sister to the useful New Trumps but she is bred to do better over a longer trip and for that reason she is oppose. Of the remainder Romantic Gift was sent off favourite for her debut and is sure to have come on for the run but for the winner we return to the well bred Masa.
