In depth

Verdict

A moderate meeting begins with a Class 7 contest in which Court Alliance gets the vote over Free Style, Zeloso and Mary Carleton. Court Alliance at least likes today's trip, having won over it at Newbury two years ago, and as he will be all the better for only his second outing in two years at Yarmouth recently, he should go close. The Richard Price-trained six-year-old was running on at the finish at the seaside track and should surely have more to offer. Free Style is honest but moderate, and may not confirm his Wolverhampton form over Zeloso who was slowly away that day. The Beduth Navi has been knocking at the door and will probably appreciate the drop back in trip and is another that can make a bid for the frame. Mary Carleton has winning form at this level, and was noted staying on behind Saucy at Lingfield. She could prove dangerous, but Court Alliance is preferred.
