      Verdict

      Dual C&D winner RED SOMERSET blew the start at Kempton four days ago and never looked like catching all-the-way winner April Fool. He's still a decent performer at this level, however, and can go one better today provided he gets away on terms. Spinning Ridge can chase him home, despite disappointing a little since winning a claimer at Wolverhampton in January, as Jordaura seems to need further than this nowadays. Diplomasi has been dropping through the grades but is still struggling for form.
