In depth

Verdict

Francis Cadell went into many notebooks after gaining a maiden success and he can take the measure of Resplendent Glory and Oh Dara. Francis Cadell is a half-brother to Khabfair and given how she improved for racing, there is every chance that David Loder's charge can see off some improving types. Terry Mills had a year to forget in 2004 but the new year brought new cheer and there was plenty to like about Resplendent Glory's victory over course-and-distance. He was inside the standard time for this trip in spite of a strong cross wind and he will most certainly be winning races this winter. Oh Dara takes a drop in class from the lofty targets she chased as a juvenile. The market should prove the best guide. Il Pranzo was one of the most sought after horses to have been raced in claiming grade this winter. He takes his racing well and should have few excuses. Nova Tor looked to have gone off the boil at the end of the turf season while the remainder look hard to fancy. Future winners aplenty here but Francis Cadell is our nomination here.
