Verdict

CONFIDE IN ME is worth a shot in this company. Vinces and Love In The Park are a couple of others to note in the betting, while Sceilin is still feasibly well handicapped despite rising in the weights for scoring in this grade at Bath last month. Sceilin just outfought Clovis on that occasion but, as she is now 2lb worse off with the top weight, she is not a great bet to uphold the form on the revised terms. In turn Clovis is far from straightforward and is too tricky-a-ride to forward with more than tepid confidence. Love In The Park seems to be getting better with every run and is unexposed at the trip. It would be no surprise to see Pat Cosgrave make more use of her today. This daughter of Pivotal can represent good value to fill one of the places. Vinces is closely matched with Love In The Park and is also capable of being thereabouts. Having proved he handles racing on turf, the mount of Amy Baker (claims 5lb) arrives here on the back of a solid effort and, granted a clear passage, he could be the biggest threat to the selection. However, a line through Jo'Burg gives Confide In Me a big chance to shine this afternoon. The Gerard Butler-trained gelding found a mile on the sharp side for him at Kempton earlier this month but is fully expected to relish the extra two furlongs this afternoon.
