In depth

Verdict

The improving Famcred is hard to oppose and may be given the most to do by Kaveri, who is expected to pose more of a threat than Island Rapture; a consistent type but frustrating as she is proving to be hard to win with from her current mark. Kaveri has plenty of experience and should be able to continue to pay her way this term. Nevertheless, she is already dropping in the ratings and looks exposed. Clive Brittain will no doubt persevere with her though and it will come as no surprise to see her go close this afternoon. However, Famcred showed a good level of progression during her juvenile season - winning twice after she ran a good second on her racecourse debut last July. Luca Cumani has his string in very good order at the moment and this Inchinor filly is very much on an upwards curve. Seven furlongs is not a problem for her and, with plenty of her stablemates showing zest for racing, there is every reason to expect a big run from Famcred on her seasonal debut.
