      Verdict

      RED LARKSPUR didn't manage a win last year but has dropped 8lb since the start of last season. The presence of Richard Hughes suggests he's expected to go well on his reappearance and he gets the nod. Catalinas Diamond scored over track and trip last month and her defeat of Dorothy's Dancing gives her the beating of today's rival Amethyst Dawn. But like recent 7f winner, Chevise, she failed to figure off a higher mark last time. Rooknrasbryripple and Hold The Star have little chance racing from out of the handicap.
