Verdict

Hawaafez is likely to leave behind whatever she achieves here when sent over further and with that in mind we prefer BY IMPLICATION. The selection is closely related to an all-weather winner over this trip and there's also a degree of precocity in the pedigree, enough to believe he can enhance John Gosden's already solid record at the track. Ed Dunlop's newcomers tend to improve for a run but Mayfair Lad is bred to make a two-year-old so he's considered along with the William Knight trio Igitur, Passion Play and Unbeatable, of whom the last-named makes most appeal although the market will help seperate them. Durante Alighieri is bred to be a smart middle-distance performer but has something to prove after a debut flop at Yarmouth but as with Club Oceanic improvement is likely.
