Verdict

Round The Island has travelled down from West Yorkshire and is only a pound higher than when successful at Pontefract in September. Garth Rockett is bidding to follow up a recent victory at Chelmsford and has won around here but Papa Delta has been done no favours by the draw. Last week’s course winner AVORISK ET PERILS (NAP) could also have fared better in that respect but still looks the one to beat as 7f stretches the stamina of The Lacemaker and Rockesbury hasn’t raced since July and is best at Wolverhampton.
