Verdict

There are a host of interesting newcomers which means a market check is essential, but it'll take a good one to beat KEYS. Roger Charlton's horse is a half-brother to Oaks' fourth Clowance and therefore has the degree of flat class that serves a horse well in these. Defying a penalty is never easy but he rates value for further than the official winning margin at Ffos Las having looked green under pressure and, with more to come, should go very close. Teutonic Knight is a smartly-bred animal in his own right and represents an in-form outfit, Timmy Murphy's booking aboard Saint Guru promises plenty while Painted Tail and Elby make each-way appeal too. Pearl Mountain only just failed to land some bets at Towcester and she can do best of the fillies but Keys really does hold the key.
