In depth

Verdict

Lamanver Homerun is likely to be at short odds for this novices' hurdle but the Paul Nicholls-trained gelding is likely to have been well schooled ahead of his debut over timber and is taken to make a winning one at the main expense of Gaelic Gift and Circus Rose. The last mentioned was well held last time but is entitled to come on for the run and hails from a yard in good from at present so cannot be ruled out completely. Venetia Williams has her string in good order now so Lunar Eclipse is likely to be all the better for his recent hurdling debut, while Pat Cohan could be of interest on his British debut under Mick Fitzgerald. Brendan Powell's Gaelic Gift showed promise over course and distance on her hurdling debut over course and distance and has to be respected but Lamanver Homerun has an obvious chance and is hard to oppose.
