Verdict

Not a race to get heavily involved in, especially if you were thinking of 'getting out'. For starters, it is very difficult to know what to expect from Frank's Quest on his first start for Gerard Butler. Any money for the ex-Irish horse would obviously be significant and he is entitled to run well enough in an open contest. However, fear of the unknown prevents us from naming him as our selection. Instead we will side with And Toto Too, who came into some form last time at Wolverhampton. Admittedly, two previous efforts here have been uninspiring, but over this trip and with excuses in defeat here last time she can win now she has a bit of confidence. Iloveturtle is also interesting. The gelding has come down the weights a good deal since his nursery bow, though is a bit of an unknown quantity on the all weather, doing well enough to be placed on his only start on the sand at Wolverhampton. Mark Johnston is not in the habit of sending his horses here for the travel experience, so expect a significant effort. Of the remainder, Proud Victor, Chandelier and London By Night make some appeal as contestants with place claims.
