    Verdict

Not a lot to go upon without reference to the market and Shadowtime is the selection ahead of Canary Islands and Maslaha. The Singspiel colt is bred to get further but with the track riding pretty deep at present, it shouldn't be a problem and his presence looks to have scared off much of the meaningful opposition. Canary Islands is arguably the most impeccably bred individual on view today. He takes this engagement ahead of one at Wolverhampton and could literally be anything. Maslaha makes a belated racecourse debut. Michael Jarvis has posted a fair strike rate with his runners on the all-weather this winter so any confidence is noted. Twelfth Night and Emerging Light will have to be something special to give away their weight-for-age allowances. Haydens Mark looked in need of his first run and might just need a bit more time. The market should tell us plenty and we like Shadowtime.
