Border Edge and Scottish River both look capable of going well off their current marks and we take the better drawn Border Edge to be able to get home in front. The selection comes from the in-form John Bridger yard, and he already has a course and distance win to his name off a 2lb higher mark. On that occasion he had Scottish River well in arrears and now he is back down to that mark, this versatile sort can score once more. Scottish River relishes this trip and fast ground, and although he has dropped back to a winning mark, he rarely runs well on the all weather and for that reason is opposed. Ramsgill is 5lb higher than when winning over c & d on his penultimate start, making a repeat that much tougher, while Swainson can't be discounted off his reducing mark. But Border Edge likes it here and can score.
