In depth

Verdict

The form of Edwyn Ralph's maiden win over a shorter trip here is working out well and he should stay today's longer distance. He makes more appeal then El Massivo, whose recent defeat of Mirth over course and distance doesn't look as strong. SILVER DIXIE didn't get into top gear until the final furlong over 1m2f at this track on his latest start and won a shade cosily in the end. Jeremy Noseda's charge should last home and confirm superiority with Raven's Tower in the process. Southwell winner Poetic Verse is preferred to Pearl Spice of the others but is still hard to fancy in this company.
