In depth

Verdict

Albertus Pictor has been a disappointing short-priced favourite on his last three starts now and it could pay to look elsewhere. There's no shortage of alternatives as Undulant Way went close at Bath last time and can race off the same mark here, while Mazagee finished ahead of Lemon Drop Red recently and has scope for further improvement. A weaker case can be made for Cashpoint and Dynamic Idol, but the one who makes most appeal is RYTON RUNNER. John Gosden's charge was having only his second start of the year when third at Kempton last time and should be ready to strike now in this less-competitive contest.
