The latter won a novice event over a mile here recently and goes handicapping for the first time while DEBBONAIR produced a late surge to win at Kempton on his handicap debut giving the impression this longer trip would suit. He’s 5lb higher today but will likely improve further under Ryan Moore. Both Il Capitano and Water's Edge have shown enough in novice company to suggest they can have a say in proceedings with the former preferred over today’s distance.
