In depth

Verdict

Snuff Box was left clear at the last when scoring at Bangor and is 5lb higher for this. The Newest One won on faster going at Doncaster before beaten in a tougher contest at Ludlow while Colonel Keating scored over a shorter trip here before struggling in heavy going over course and distance behind third-placed ECHO WATT (NAP). The latter wasn’t beaten far on that occasion, despite racing from out of the weights, and Richard Hobson’s charge looks to have every chance in these similar conditions now back on a winning mark.
