Verdict

Benllech is weighted to finish ahead of Mogok Ruby again and can in fact finish at the head of the field here, while Westport can also go well. The selection had only Fromsong in front in a similar race over c&d last week and he loves it here, having strung together a hat-trick of c&d successes prior to that. Although the handicapper may have his measure, he is very consistent and can probably run to a level of form good enough to win this. Mogok Ruby will probably fare a little better than last time but is arguably more of a Kempton horse than this track, though he should be thereabouts. Westport is 7lb higher than his last win and has not won here in two previous tries. Nevertheless he has a fair bit of speed and should be on the premises, though he is likely to need a drop before winning again. Chjimes is hard to win with and looks weighted up to the hilt and Lord Of The Reins looks the better of the other pair, but preference is for Benllech.
