Verdict

Take The Helm beat War Glory a head to win a lower grade contest over track and trip last week and has gone close from a high draw here before. Hakam has won three times in six starts for Mick Appleby and is upped a further 3lb for his latest success at Kempton while Charles Molson returns to action raised 5lb for winning in this grade at Chelmsford in November. Suzi's Connoisseur headed Holiday Magic in the closing stages at Newcastle back in February but the latter has been beaten subsequently and Intransigent is preferred with today’s apprentice claiming 7lb. AMAZOUR has come up short in Listed races recently but still ran well when fourth behind Salateen at Wolverhampton last time. He’s won for an apprentice before and should make a bold bid in the opener.
