In depth

Verdict

A quality handicap with plenty of in-form performers. From a shortlist of Mister Green, Cairnsmore and BAYLINI, it is the last-named who is tentatively put forward. The selection doesn't always put two good runs together back to back but he showed a tremendous attitude to force his head in front last time out. He is just a pound higher today and with the race likely to be run to suit, and Hayley Turner onboard again (first and second on horse from two starts) a bold bid is expected. Donaldson's recent chase efforts have been poor but he knows how to win on the level, Cairnsmore stormed home at Kempton on his UK debut but a mark of 96 looks tough, whilst Bound By Honour looks a tricky ride but will benefit from the return of jockey George Baker this afternoon. The drop in trip will suit Full Toss but he may now be high enough in the weights, Winter Fever wasn't beaten far behind Baylini in that bunch finish last time out, whilst Vainglory and Thunderstruck both have higher marks to contend with after recent victories. Dalradian is up in trip, whilst Mister Green and Confidentiality both went close recently and should be in the shakeup granted a truly run race (more than likely). Tricky stuff for punters, but Baylini can win again.
