A few of these are already hard to win with and are likely to remain risky propositions for the foreseeable future at least. Tonto, Ever Cheerful and Son of Rembrandt all fit that bill - although the last named could easily draw on his experience to go close today. However, Saviours Spirit is open to further improvement and Terry Mills' charge, with Ian Mongan booked for the ride, looks the one to be with in this company. The Komaite gelding was handed a rating of 77 after three fair efforts over this trip late on during last season and returned with a good performance to finish third behind the improving Smokin Joe over the course and distance just after Christmas. That outing will have done him the world of good and Saviours Spirit will not have to find much to enable him to get off the mark this afternoon.
