Verdict

This was won by Ed Dunlop's subsequent Ascot Gold Cup hero Trip To Paris last year so DUTCH UNCLE will likely prove popular on the back of a second in this grade at Kempton. He's preferred to returning stablemate Sagaciously and also Silver Quay, now 12lb higher than last month's course and distance success. Winterlude is only 2lb higher than when winning at Wolverhampton on his penultimate start while Top Tug was thereabouts at this level last year without winning but makes his debut for new connections. A prolific winner at Southwell, Luv U Whatever is back on a winning mark though may prefer a longer trip on this surface.
