      Verdict

Desert Light gets the vote over the other penalised pair Blythe Spirit and The Fisio, with Catspraddle also worth a mention. Desert Light is a confirmed six-furlong specialist, all five of his career victories coming over the trip, and now that he has returned to form, more success could be on the cards. A 6lb penalty for his narrow victory at Wolverhampton four days ago still leaves him on a handy mark, and Derek Shaw's charge has a good draw in stall two. Blythe Spirit appreciated a visor when winning at Southwell the other day and is well treated on form of old. He should go well again, but has yet to win round here. The Fisio turned the clock back when beating Lady Bahia over five furlongs here on Monday, but unlike the selection, has gained all of his career wins over the minimum. Catspraddle has a wide draw to overcome, but if getting out and across quickly, is not out of it, while Kitchen Sink opened his account at the 26th time of asking in a poor maiden at Wolverhampton in January, and although well drawn, needs to improve again to figure. The pin comes down on Desert Light.
