      Verdict

Wensley Blue took advantage of a low handicap mark to win over fences at Kelso last month but faces no easy task back over timber today and preference is for Caesar's Palace, who gets the vote ahead of Cash On Friday. The last mentioned ran better at Musselburgh last time but Richard Guest's gelding has yet to prove his effectiveness on ground as testing as this so he may be best watched. Top weight Zaffran Lady is hard to recommend on recent form, while Prince Adjal may still be a shade high in the weights. Crackleando is capable but inconsistent, while the lightly raced Stravaigin faces no easy task first time in a handicap. The vote then goes to Lucinda Russell's Caesar's Palace, who has run with some consistency of late and has slipped back to a winning mark.
