Verdict

ALAINMAAR is preferred to Tranquil Tiger with Peligroso appearing to hold the strongest claims from amongst the remainder. The useful Tranquil Tiger has been well placed to win ten races in his career and it could be argued that he's still progressing given that he achieved his first Group win on the all-weather track here in March. However, he is penalised accordingly for his successful spell over the winter and spring which ensures that he has his work cut out to get the better of Alainmaar. Michael Jarvis' string appear to have hit top form in recent weeks and this colt has been unbeaten since finishing second to a fair sort on debut last August. He earned the tag of a Group horse in a handicap when running away with the City And Suburban under top weight at Epsom last month and it will be very disappointing if he's beaten here. Peligroso performed well in two starts on these shores at the end of last season and should have more to offer this season so he shouldn't be ignored but he doesn't appear to be as exciting a prospect as Alainmaar who is readily preferred.
