    Verdict

Butrinto and Bank On Him, first and second in a seller here last week have obvious claims again but the drop in trip from 1m2f to a mile may not help either horse and both are opposable. John Best's Tzar would have claims if staying the trip but is far from certain to do so, while Roland O'Sullivan's Cedar Rangers, who sprung a surprise when winning a similar contest over course and distance last year, has shown very little worthwhile form since. Feast Of Romance and Galaxy Thunderbird who are better treated than most are others to consider but it might be worth taking a chance with Gloaming. The mare won back-to-back races at Nottingham in the spring over six furlongs and, although winless since, the drop in class should benefit. Being by Celtic Swing the step up in trip should suit and with her jockey claiming a useful allowance, she can make the most of the weight she receives.
