In depth

Verdict

Alberts Monarch finished a lot closer over track and trip last month behind an odds-on favourite trained by Nicky Henderson. The latter debuts DIVA’S MIX in this and she may prove good enough as a half-sister to Gold Cup runner-up The Giant Bolster among others. City Derby was sent off favourite at Hereford for his debut but unseated when badly hampered while Titaneasy posted a better effort on the Turf at Southwell last time. Wee Rupert debuted at Ascot and is a likely improver and Yes Governor is a point-to-point winner having his first outing under Rules.
