Verdict

The market will tell the tale about the expectations held of Rock Music, who represents the bang-in-form David Loder yard. However, a chance is taken with Miss Cinofaz, who has a valuable edge in terms of experience and just gets the nod on the evidence available. Resplendent Glory is another to keep a close eye on when the betting opens, as Terry Mills is always to be feared with his runners at this course. Mills' charge is bred to get a little further than today's trip though, and he may be best watched at the first time of asking. The same has to be said of Hereditary and Scutch Mill, who will find this way short of their best if they run to the indications laid by their pedigrees. They appear to be here to gain from the experience at best. Rock Music is a half-brother to a winner over six furlongs but also has scope for improvement over further. Therefore, it may be a good policy to wait and see how much money he attracts in the early scrimmaging before getting heavily involved this time. Which brings us back to Miss Cinofaz, who should appreciate this drop back in trip this afternoon. The daughter of Zafonic was traveling like the winner until running out of steam in the closing stages here just before Christmas - an effort that sets a fair standard as the victor on that occasion was rated in the mid-seventies when he raced in Ireland. Therefore, in our opinion, Miss Cinofaz is the one they will all have to pass if they are going to come out on top today.
