In depth

Verdict

Looking progressive FONTERUTOLI gets the call to land this handicap and in the process follow up on his first win last time with Dubai Bounty looking the main danger while Gifted Apakay isn't without a chance. That victory for the pick was on his handicap debut and his first start as a three-year-old. He should improve again now that bit fitter and the extra yardage here should suit. Dubai Bounty won on debut before showing mild progression in two handicaps this season. He was only narrowly denied last time and he's unexposed so should improve again to overcome a mark rise. Gifted Apakay has shown promising form but makes a handicap debut off a high enough looking rating. Opera Gal was progressive as a juvenile and if she's trained on could be a threat while Life And Soul falls into the same category. This shouldn't take much winning and Fonterutoli is a confident selection.
