Verdict

Ayam Zaman can enhance her Oaks prospects by beating Cassydora and Seven Magicians. Just the six line up here in what is a bit of a disappointing renewal, but at least it gives Ayam Zaman the opportunity to carry on where she left off last season. The daughter of Montjeur won the last two of her three starts, and showed when landing the Listed Zetland Stakes that she could handle any ground. In addition she will relish the step up in trip, and connections have already stated that she is their best hope of winning a Classic this term. Her stable is in form at present, and she should take all the beating, with Cassydora the main danger. John Dunlop's filly finished fourth in the May Hill at Doncaster on her final outing last season and should make her presence felt today, along with Seven Magicians, fourth at Kempton on her sole start on fast ground last autumn. She cannot be faulted on breeding, being a half-sister to the smart Ocean Silk, while her dam is related to Divine Proportions and Whipper and is nailed on to open her account sooner rather than later. today though they all face a tough task in trying to stop Ayam Zaman from scoring.
