In depth

Verdict

Mulaquat, Daylami Star and Doctor of Laws are three against the field in this maiden and the confident vote is given to Mulaquat. The selection was a fair fourth behind Humungous in a better race last time out. This looks easier and he need only run up to that mark to score. Daylami Star rates there main danger but he was behind the selection last time and there is no reason why he should gain his revenge on the same terms here. Doctor of Laws is a Dr Fong colt, a half-brother to 6f and 1m3f winner John Forbes and hails from a shrewd yard, so he should be noted in the market. Of the remainder, Kavachi is another well-bred type that could go well but he hails from a yard whose debutantes usually come on for the run, and for the winner we return to Mulaquat.
