      Verdict

      MERINGUE is penalised for making a winning start at Kempton but she scored with plenty to spare and the third horse has subsequently won. She may well go in again on that form with Canavese looking the main threat. The latter finished clear of the rest when runner-up over 7f at Salisbury last time with Silk Island well beaten and is also preferred to Chelmsford third Capla Flyer. Little India makes her debut but is bred for further.
