slowly away, raced keenly, always in rear

      In depth

      Verdict

Enthsusius gets the call here ahead of Musango and King Of Knight. On his first run for the canny and capable Gary Moore, Enthusius scored well in a slowly-run 12-furlong affair last time at today's venue. Okay, the form shouldn't be taken literally but, given that he has more scope than most here, he could go in again. Blackmail remains consistent and holds place claims and the lightly-raced Musango warmed up for this by running well over a shorter trip last time. Competitor found his penalty his undoing last time, while much as he remains five pounds above a winning mark, Rowan Warning is not ruled out of a good run from a good draw in a race over a trip that he is relatively unexposed at. Much as she has plenty of selling form to her name, Mon Petite Amour scored well in a handicap last time over course and distance last time and can go well again. King Of Knight's course and distance second last time from today's mark gives him something with which to suggest he can go well, while Desert Hawk has it to prove now from his revised mark, but Lilac Star could start handicapping life on a reasonable mark and the betting might provide some clues. The selection though, once again, is Enthusius.
