        Verdict

        Flint River is the pick ahead of For Life, Paparaazi and Outer Hebrides in another poor contest. Flint River was sent off fancied at Southwell last month but could only finish fourth. He is not the force of old, but there is no getting away from the fact that he is much better treated these days, having won off a mark of 74 at Kempton in April 2005. That was to be his last visit to the winner's enclosure, but he should be in the shake-up here. For Life has also steadily dropped down the ratings, and there was a bit of hope to be gleaned from his fourth to Siraj at Kempton last time. Paparaazi has a string of placed efforts to his name, while Outer Hebrides has also filled the frame on more than one occasion, and has a top jockey booked. The market will reveal if anything else is fancied, but Flint River is taken to turn the clock back.
