    Verdict

Rebelle continued the good form of the Ian Wood stable when successful in two-mile handicap at Southwell last month, however, a 5lb rise leaves him with more to do here. Open Arms is a consistent performer and deserves to win a handicap of this nature but has yet to prove his effectiveness over this trip and is best ignored. The handicapper has seen it fit to raise Its Your Bid by 4lbs for her five length second to Cedar Master at Goodwood last time and even of her light weight looks to have to much to do. So Precious has slipped to an attractive mark but has not been running well, while Classic Cponkers returns to the flat after a couple of runs over hurdles. Hugh Morrison's Ela Jay has been running well without a great deal of luck recently and is another with claims but the TEAMtalk selection in a wide-open contest is Distant Sky. Still a maiden at the age of five, there are other runners with more obvious claims than the son of Distant View but, having slipped to an attractive mark and with good amateur Jamie Moore booked for the ride, Philip Mitchell's gelding might be worth chancing at the odds.
