Exceeding Power continued his run of placed efforts with a third at Chelmsford while Ripinto showed signs of a resurgence with a second over 6f here a week ago. With Approval won a lower grade contest over track and trip recently and is upped 3lb and the unpredictable Royal Normandy is due one of his better efforts with Rob Hornby taking 5lb off his back today. But a chance is taken on QUITE SMART returning to winning ways given Bob Cowell's filly faces an easier task after a couple of outings at Newmarket and has more scope than most of these.
