We'll take TRANSFORMER to come back to form here and be too good for last-time scorers Waahej and Night Knight. The selection has not yet won but put up his best effort so far when runner-up here over course and distance from a 1lb lower mark in August. Either right-handed Kempton or steps up in trip twice since have not seen him reproduce that sort of run, but now dropped in the handicap and back here we'll side with him. Waahej is 5lbs higher than when taking a 1m 1f Wolverhampton handicap last time and tries this track for the first time. If handling the slightly quicker surface then he looks likely to remain very competitive from a good draw. Night Knight makes his Polytrack debut on the back of a Yarmouth win over this trip and on fast ground last month. That, however, was only a seller and from a 1lb higher mark he will find this a bit tougher. Hold The Bucks has a good record of four wins from 17 starts on Polytrack surfaces, including one win here over a mile. Stan Moore's charge is back very much on a winning mark again, although he has to prove that he truly stays this far. Lady's Art makes relatively minor appeal and Transformer gets our vote.
