      Verdict

      KING'S REQUEST is something of a standing dish around here. All three of his course and distance victories have come in this grade and the last was achieved off this mark. A return to familiar territory could spark a revival from Laura Mongan's stayer and he's preferred to the luckless Investissement, beaten by While You Wait in a claimer here last month. Gimme Five won over a similar trip at Wolverhampton in October and rates a threat, though will be back over hurdles when the ground dries up. Hurdler Hi Note has won on the Polytrack but that was four years ago and recent efforts on the Flat have left a bit to be desired. Coup De Grace has been in good form over timber this winter and is a bigger danger.
