In depth

Verdict

Conna Cross makes a quick reappearance after a moderate effort when favourite over the minimum trip here on Tuesday and showed up better over 2m3f at Clonmel earlier. Mardar has had his jumping problems but returned to form at Tipperary in May and as he's lightly raced there should be more to come. Wee Small Hours has yet to win a race and was a disappointing favourite at Clonmel but Shrewdoperator ran his best race to date in heavy ground at Roscommon in October. Kilderry Prince has shown nothing over hurdles but did much better over fences at Tramore last time. JOHNS CHOICE showed his first sign of ability here last time and this shouldn't take much winning so he's handed the vote though the market could provide a good guide.
